Pioneer makes charitable contributions to a diverse group of charities, service organizations and educational institutions in order to maximize the support we offer to the communities where our employees live and work.
Our corporate focus for charitable giving is on youth and education. Pioneer encourages education in young adults by partnering with our employees, local communities, community colleges and universities through small and large programs. We offer support to the engineering and geoscience schools of several major universities as well as provide financial and intellectual resources that enlighten, assist and encourage students in K-12.
Pioneer matches contributions made by employees to qualifying educational institutions dollar-for-dollar.
Since 1993, Pioneer’s Scholarship Foundation has provided funds to employees’ children through a competitive application process. Additionally, Pioneer funds a scholarship each year to a local, incoming freshman at Trinidad State Junior College in Colorado.
In the North Texas area, contributions are primarily channeled through United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and Habitat for Humanity. Additional assistance is given to groups who serve the homeless, provide clothing and gifts to the underprivileged, and advocate for children in the foster care system.
In our West Texas and Mid-Continent regions, Pioneer contributes donations and volunteer work to United Way groups, which in turn support numerous local organizations and programs.
For several years, Pioneer has teamed up with a local gas assistance grant program in the Rockies area to aid seniors 55 and older pay up to half of their heating bills.
And through various monetary contributions to schools in South Texas, Pioneer has helped countless students in elementary, secondary and higher education get the resources needed to support their success.
