The Spraberry asset team drills between 300-400 wells per year and leases approximately 50,000 acres per year. Primary responsibilities include the evaluation and recommendation of investment opportunities, estimating and reporting reserves, supporting leasing activity, analyzing acquisition opportunities, and providing necessary inputs into the budget and planning processes. Conduct ongoing reservoir quality determination, location identification, economic evaluation, and post-investment look backs. This position is also charged with estimating, justifying, and documenting the reserves associated with production, drilling and leasing activities. Evaluate potential economic value on areas considered for leasing and property acquisitions. Provide the necessary production/capital forecasting, economic modeling, and portfolio optimization inputs to the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting exercises. This job description reflects the minimum job duties for the lower level position.

A Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline is required with a minimum of 10 years experience in petroleum engineering. Professionalism and a high degree of integrity are a must. Strong analytical skills are required and reservoir simulation and field experience are a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as commercially available economic models is required. Proficiency in other petroleum engineering and geologic software applications is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills to work within a team environment are necessary. These requirements reflect the minimum requirements for the lower level position. The level at which a candidate is hired into is dependent upon the skill level and previous related experience of that candidate and the minimum qualifications for such level that they are hired.
