This position requires working independently within broad guidelines to provide sound engineering expertise to assist the operations team in planning, coordinating and monitoring production, drilling, completion and workover activities. Review and monitor operating costs, propose changes to enhance profit, identify remedial stimulation and recompletions, prepare AFE’s for drilling, completions, workovers, equipment change or improvements, present projects to management for approval and cohesively work with other Company departments to accomplish team goals. This job description reflects the minimum job duties for the lower level position.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required with a minimum of 5 years work related experience in petroleum engineering and operations of onshore Oil & Gas properties. Strong background experience in technical disciplines and field experience are necessary. Strong people skills and previous mentoring/training less experienced Operations Engineers is preferred. Experience in the design and operation of waterfloods and/or the design of onshore Oil & Gas production facilities are not necessary but would definitely be beneficial. Extensive experience in one of the aforementioned areas may be substituted in lieu of less experience in one of the other areas. Microsoft Office experience required. These requirements reflect the minimum requirements for the lower level position. The level at which a candidate is hired into is dependent upon the skill level and previous related experience of that candidate and the minimum qualifications for such level that they are hired.
