While most Americans are celebrating holidays such as Christmas, Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, servicemen and servicewomen in the various branches of the U.S. armed services are stationed in foreign countries thousands of miles away. These are the individuals who carry the responsibility of defending our freedom every day, and during their absence, Pioneer employees have made a commitment to send them little pieces of home.
Since 2003, Pioneer employees in Midland have collected the names and overseas addresses of friends and family serving in combat zones, such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Several times a year, they collect and send small items – including toiletries, snacks, paperback books and playing cards – in care packages to troops overseas.
More recently, Pioneer has teamed up with the non-profit organization Christmas for Our Troops to pack more than 2,900 gift boxes for individuals stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Through their support of this cause, and of servicemen and servicewomen everywhere, the West Texas community and Pioneer show their thanks for and appreciation of America’s finest.
At the helm of Pioneer’s success is a knowledgeable and experienced management team and Board of Directors.
