North Texas: North Texas Food Bank

Year-Round Nutrition

Established in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a non-profit hunger relief organization that distributes food in 13 counties and provides access to food at more than 1,000 locations.

Among the groups NTFB benefits are families with school-aged children. During the summer months, these families are forced to find alternate means for two out of three meals each day when their schools’ free breakfast and lunch programs are no longer available. Working through a network of more than 262 partner agencies, the food bank provides aid to these families.

Each May, Pioneer’s employee-led Charitable Contributions Committee in Las Colinas sponsors a fundraising campaign to assist with this seasonal need. These efforts have enabled the food bank to purchase 375,000 nutritious meals since the Company’s involvement began in 2008.

Visit the NTFB website for a list of partner agencies the food bank supports.
