The Business Development Permian Basin Team is seeking a Reservoir Engineer with knowledge of field development, exploitation and operations to assist in the rapid evaluation of producing trends and specific properties within these trends. Provide rapid analysis of producing intervals and producing properties to generate estimates of production rates and ultimate recovery. Gather and synthesize information necessary to complete economic analyses. Collaborate with members of the Business Development Team and Operating groups to generate a range of estimated value and risk assessment which incorporates the Operating group’s knowledge of exploitation and development opportunities. Recognize potential opportunities based on analogue field studies. Provide timely evaluation of property submittals and high grading of properties which warrant further evaluation. Create, modify and implement acquisition plans. This job description reflects the minimum job duties for the lower level position.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required. The preferred level of experience for this position is 6 – 20 years, with significant experience in decline curve analysis, and SEC Reservoir booking and estimation. Experience with improved recovery techniques such as infill drilling, field and play extension, horizontal drilling, water and gas injection, log analysis, project management, and economics including use of ARIES. Excellent communication skills are also desirable to convey valuation to others including senior management. The ability to balance conflicting priorities is necessary. These requirements reflect the minimum requirements for the lower level position. The level at which a candidate is hired into is dependent upon the skill level and previous related experience of that candidate and the minimum qualifications for such level that they are hired.
